When is a Transit Interpretation Appropriate?
NOTE: I strongly recommend that you have a
birth chart interpretation
done before you get any transit interpretation.
You will get more out of the transit interpretation if you have a
thorough understanding of the needs, potentials, and issues that are
indicated in your birth chart than if you do not have such an understanding.
If you want to explore needs, potentials, and issues that apply to
your life
in the short run
(say, during a period
of a few years or less), then order a
transit interpretation.
If
you want to explore needs, potentials, and issues that
apply to
your life
in the long run (say, for more than a few years of your life), then
order a
birth chart interpretation.
If you want a
prediction based on a specific question (such as "Will I receive a pay
raise in my current job by March 31?"), then I may may be able to answer
that using horary astrology. Horary can answer most, but not all, questions.
For further information, email me at
proudphoenix@pobox.com.
If you want a prediction based on a
general question (such as "Is my
financial situation going to get better?"), I cannot provide that. I can,
however, provide other help related to your question.
Interpretations Sent by
Email
When you order an interpretation, here's what you can expect:
I will send it to
you in a series of installments by email. Normally, I send the first
installment seven calendar days after you order it. After that, I send
further installments at the rate of one to three installments per week. The
exact number that I send during a given week varies depending on my current
workload. In all, I send approximately 12 to 15 installments for a transit
interpretation. (To find out exactly when you can expect to receive
your interpretation, please email me at
proudphoenix@pobox.com.)
As you receive the
installments and read them, feel free to let me know any questions or
comments that you would like to share. I'll field them as we go along.
When
I send the final installment, I also send the entire interpretation as an
attached MS Word document.
If you are not able to read that file format, I send it as a Rich Text Format
(RTF) file instead. If neither of those will suffice, I may be able to make
other arrangements. Let me know your particular needs and preferences, and
I'll see what we can work out.
Will I Do an Interpretation by Telephone?
Currently, no. I may or may not offer interpretations by telephone later.
It is my understanding
that a person generally retains no more than 20% of what he or she hears,
after an interpretation has ended.
Therefore, it is essential to have an audiotaped or written record of any
interpretation that is done live, rather than in writing. Such a record will
allow you to review everything that you and I said during the
interpretation, long after many of the details are forgotten.
Right now, I do not have
the necessary equipment to audiotape both ends of a telephone conversation.
I will consider whether to get it. In the meantime, I will do
interpretations by email, but not by telephone.
What a Transit Interpretation
Includes
A full-length interpretation runs at
least 18,000 words (30 single-spaced pages). This is a minimum. Actual
interpretations may run a bit longer.
Compare
this to an interpretation that another astrologer might do for you live
(either in person or via audiotape). For most people, the normal rate of
speech is roughly 150 words per minute. At that rate, it's equivalent to at
least two hours of steady, uninterrupted speech.
Interpretations
focus on whatever time period most interests you.
We can look at one month, one year, something in between, several years,
etc.
When I do an interpretation
that is for, say,
a one-year period or longer, I discuss only long-term
transits.
They
indicate the long-term trends and issues that you can
expect to face. They help you have perspective about what day-to-day events
mean in the context
of such trends.
When
I do an interpretation that is for, say, a one-month period,
I discuss short-term transits (from Mercury, Venus, Mars, and/or the
Sun). Short-term transits give information about short-term trends and
issues that you can expect to face. If you anticipate some major event
during the forecast period, an event that happens once in your lifetime or
very seldom, these transits can have great significance. I may or may not,
however, discuss long-term transits (from Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn,
and/or Jupiter).
When I do an
interpretation
that is for, say,
a three-month period
(something shorter than a year), I
will discuss long-term transits. In addition, I may or may not also discuss
short-term transits, depending on what exactly you order.

Order a
Transit Interpretation Today
Email me at
proudphoenix@pobox.com and
tell me all of the following information:
(1) What is prompting
you to order the interpretation now in particular?
In other words, what you hope to
get out of it?
(2)
What is the birth date, time,
city and state/country for the person whose chart is to be read?
Some people write dates in month/day/year format, and others write them in
day/month/year format. To prevent confusion, include the name (rather than
the number) of the month.
(3)
If the chart to be read is that of another person, and that person is 12 years of age or older, I need
his or her permission before I discuss the chart with you.
Do I have that person's permission?
(4)
Which time period would you like me to look at?
The
next month? Six months? Year? Two years? It can be any time period that you
would like, really.
(5) Which month would
you like the interpretation to start with? I will start the time period
with the calendar month after the month in which you place your order,
unless you specify otherwise. For example, if you order an interpretation in
June, then I will start the period with July.
(6) When will you send your payment, and which
method of payment will you use?
(7)
Do you need
the interpretation to be sent in any form other than an attached MS Word
file?
If so, in what form do you need it to be sent?
(8) How did you
first learn about The Proud Phoenix?
