TRANSIT
INTERPRETATION (SAMPLE):
FOR FEBRUARY THROUGH
DECEMBER 2004
by Brian Habit
Jupiter
sextiles your Neptune from roughly October 2003 till August
2004.
Now that
Jupiter sextiles your Neptune, your desire to enlarge and expand
your life has evolved to the point that it stimulates your
idealism. In turn, your growth in terms of identifying and
capitalizing on opportunities is stimulated as it triggers your
imagination. Your idealism is temporarily aroused by a sense of
hopefulness. You can expect a period in which enthusiasm feeds
your idealism. It’s time to trust that needs to believe that the
Sun will always come out tomorrow. Jupiter offers the potential
for resilience and self-confidence. The question is whether
you’ll capture the visionary energy that’s aroused now and
channel it to your advantage. It can be a time of increased
spiritual charity, while your idealism is uplifted and expanded.
Before we
get into the more positive potential of this period, let’s run
through some sobering thoughts, to keep matters from getting out
of hand. Both Jupiter and Neptune are visionary, big picture,
idealistic planets, so whenever they are connected, there’s a
need to maintain some realism and sense of proportion.
Be
careful not to let your enthusiasm get the best of you. Don’t
let foolishness becomes your own undoing. Look before leaping in
to a situation that might leave you weaker rather than stronger.
If something seems like a ticket to success, or you’re tempted
to take advantage of a situation for personal gain at someone
else’s expense, think again. Reconsider both your ultimate goal
and your plan for getting from here to there. Consider the
ethical or spiritual implications that apply. Run your inspired
idea by someone who’s less enamored of whatever you find
appealing about it. Get that person to point out the possible
drawbacks or contingencies that you need to include in your
planning.
If you see
others as having treated you unfairly now, run a reality check.
That may not have been the case. Allow for the possibility that
you don’t see matters in a clear, accurate light. Before you
risk going off half-cocked in a blind, indignant rage, check
both the facts and your conclusions carefully. Don’t act in a
brazen misguided way, based on what might be faulty perceptions.
If you do
find that you truly have been victimized, or you’re confined by
circumstances that are beyond your power to change, take care to
do what’s in your spiritual best interest. Will you let yourself
become demoralized, or will you take the high road? Will you
become resigned, or will you do whatever it takes to keep your
spirit alive, until circumstances change and you are “freed from
captivity”?
This can
be a spiritually trying time, a time when a person is reminded
of how tenuous matters can be on the material plane. If this
happens for you, seek strength in your spiritual practice or
other activities that help you find comfort during a time of
sadness. On a concrete level, you may also need to spend money
or otherwise extend yourself to restore or replace something
that has been lost or damaged.
Now let’s
look at the brightest potential of this transit.
At best,
this could be a time when dreams come true, romantically,
artistically, athletically, financially, or otherwise. It could
be a time when you break exciting new ground and capture the
imagination of others.
To
accomplish this, consider how you might enlarge your world to
touch someone else’s life in a caring, compassionate way.
Whether you have a child or start volunteering as a Big Sister
for someone, you could enrich both someone else’s life and your
own.
Think
about how you might take some artistic or imaginative activity
into new territory. You might break new creative ground, like a
screenwriter who sells her first treatment or a rock band that
puts out its first album. You could act confidently and boldly,
perhaps by competing for a coveted prize. Whether or not you win
it, you could wow people with your style and grace--your ability
to make the difficult look easy.
If you’ve
acted boldly, imaginatively, compassionately in the past, then
you might be honored for that now. In that case, maybe you get
recognized for your imagination and creativity, your physical
gracefulness and athletic prowess, your compassion or
selflessness altruism. You’re like a musical performer who is
honored as a newcomer to the field, or a spiritual leader who
wins the Nobel Peace Prize for promoting mutual understanding
and respect among diverse people. Perhaps you’re honored by
being asked to act in an advisory capacity to someone in a
relatively “high place.”
You may
reach a spiritual fork in the road now. If that happens, then it
seems like a make-or-break time, a time to decide whether to
commit yourself to trying to make a dream come true.
If you
take one fork, then you give up on some dream. You give in to
your frustration, sense of discouragement, or nearly-broken
spirit. You take the easier way out by not striving to achieve
something more than what currently exists. If you go there, then
you can expend to lead a smaller, more limited life. You can
expect to do permanent damage to your outlook on life, to lose
your faith in yourself.
If you
take the other fork in the road, then you decide to go for some
dream. You know it’s an uphill battle, and they’re no
guarantees. But you also know that you want some pot of gold
that seems to lie at the end of a long rainbow. You know that
the only way you’ll ever get your hands on it is if you embark
on an uncertain, demanding journey. You know what you’re getting
yourself into. You go into it with open eyes and a hopeful
spirit.
Jupiter
relates to improvement, and Neptune is associated with healing.
If you’ve been suffering under some physically or spiritually
debilitating condition for a while, you could alleviate your
pain and suffering by trying something new now. For example, if
you’ve had an intractable physical condition, you might try
using some new diagnosis method or treatment to finally “turn
the corner” with it. Another place that we sometimes find relief
is in humor. Therefore, you might also lighten your outlook by
making light of your past troubles, by writing or singing or
talking about them and sharing it with others. Even if your
situation was (or is) no laughing matter, it can help put
experiences in a healthier perspective to look for the humor in
them, wherever you can find it.
For you,
Jupiter is moving through the 8th house, a financial area in
your chart, and he’s triggering Neptune, which rules another
financial area (the 2nd house). Your Neptune lies in Scorpio, a
sign that (like the 8th house) is associated with passion, deep
bonding, and transformative experiences. Based on this, I’d say
that you might do some major spiritual healing now by combining
finances or otherwise entwining your fate with that of someone
else. Maybe this means going into uncharted, more sensitive
territory with a romantic partner. Maybe it means joining forces
with a helper or healer type of person, to accomplish more in a
broad spiritual or social context. Whatever the case, it could
help you feel more inspired and spiritually satisfied about what
you have going for you.
