When is a Birth Chart Interpretation Appropriate?
If you want to explore needs, potentials, and issues that apply to your life in the long run (for more than a few years of your life), then order a birth chart interpretation.
On the other hand, if you want to explore needs, potentials, and issues that apply to your life in the short run (for a few years or less), then order a transit interpretation.
NOTE: I strongly recommend that you have a birth chart interpretation done before you get any transit interpretation or synastric (relationship) interpretation. You will get more out of the other types of interpretations if you have a thorough understanding of the needs, potentials, and issues that are indicated in your birth chart than if you do not have such an understanding.

Will I Do an Interpretation by Telephone?
Currently, no. I may or may not offer interpretations by telephone later.
It is my understanding that a person generally retains no more than 20% of what he or she hears, after an interpretation has ended. Therefore, it is essential to have an audiotaped or written record of any interpretation that is done live, rather than in writing. Such a record will allow you to review everything that you and I said during the interpretation, long after many of the details are forgotten.
Right now, I do not have the necessary equipment to audiotape both ends of a telephone conversation. I will consider whether to get it. In the meantime, I will do interpretations by email or by instant messaging, but not by telephone.
What a Birth Chart Interpretation IncludesIf you order a full birth chart interpretation, I will discuss major parts of your chart and what they signify. Specifically, I will discuss the sign and house positions of your Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven, planets and the North and South nodes of the Moon. I may also discuss a few aspects (conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and/or oppositions), whichever ones I consider to be especially significant in your chart. If you order anything less than a full interpretation, then I will discuss major parts of your chart and what they signify. I will not, however, discuss any aspects among the parts of your chart. Specifically, I will discuss the sign and house positions of your Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven, planets and the North and South nodes of the Moon. The longer the interpretation that you order, the more complete a description of your chart you will get.
When Can You Get Your Interpretation? To find out exactly when you can expect to receive your interpretation, email me at proudphoenix@pobox.com. When you can expect to receive an interpretation depends on exactly what you order. I can usually send a full-length interpretation approximately four (4) weeks after you order it. I can usually send a more limited interpretation sooner than that.
When I send the interpretation, I attach it as an MS Word file, unless you specify another file format. If you are not able to read an MS Word file, I send it as a Rich Text Format (RTF) file instead. If neither of those will suffice, I may be able to make other arrangements, depending on your particular needs and preferences.
Cost
A full-length interpretation runs at least 6,000 words (10 single-spaced pages). This is a minimum. Actual interpretations almost always run much longer! The regular cost for a full interpretation is $48.00 US. Through August 15, save 25% and pay only $36.00.
If you would like to order something less than a full interpretation, the cost is $1.00 US per 167 words, with a minimum cost of $8.00. Through August 15, save 25% and pay only $24.00 per hour, with a minimum cost of $6.00. See the table below for the guaranteed minimum lengths of various interpretations, depending on the cost. Actual lengths are almost always much longer!

Email me at proudphoenix@pobox.com and tell me all of the following information:
(1) What is prompting you to order the interpretation now in particular? In other words, what you hope to get out of it?
(2) What is the birth date, time, city and state/country for the person whose chart is to be read? Some people write dates in month/day/year format, and others write them in day/month/year format. To prevent confusion, include the name (rather than the number) of the month.
(3) If the chart to be read is that of another person, and that person is 12 years of age or older, I need his or her permission before I discuss the chart with you. Do I have that person's permission?
(4) When will you send your payment? Which method of payment are you using?
(5) Do you need the interpretation to be sent in any form other than an attached MS Word file? If so, in what form do you need it to be sent?
